Grammar is not the only problem we have. Vocabulary is what really bothers us, isn't it? Looking up the new words in the dictionary - what can be worse, you think, yet - nothing is more helpful.
Here we are to see the words that seem familiar but still ...

The word of today is CHALLENGE, does it ring the bell?

Challenges can be big, considerable, enormous, great, huge, radical, real, serious, significant and strong. They can be difficult and tough, fresh and new, exciting and interesting. Some major (or main) challenges are economic, environmental, intellectual, political, technical and technological.

Something can present or pose a challenge, then you have to face or meet it, somehow respond or rise to it, in other words, you are to take it on or up.

Challenges are always posed to somebody or something from somebody or something.

I do not know what you need this word for, but if you insist ...

Pa·rab·o·lism [From Parabola.]
(Alg.) The division of the terms of an equation by a known quantity that is involved in the first term. [Obs.]  ;)

I hope you mean hypnotized, which is a derivative from the verb HYPNOTIZE, which has two basic meanings:

1) to put into a state of hypnosis.
2) to fascinate by or as if by hypnosis.

Now I think it is easy to guess what HYPNOTIZED may mean, isn't it?

notorious

no·to·ri·ous means 'known widely and usually unfavorably; infamous':

e.g. a notorious gangster; a district notorious for vice.

It comes from Medieval Latin nōtōrius, well-known, from [/i][/i]Latin nōtus, known, past participle of nōscere, to get to know.

Its derivatives are the adverb 'notoriously' and the noun 'notoriousness'.

There is also a noun: notoriety.

Notoriety  can be sudden, certain, international or public.

You may have it, or achieve it. You either gain it yourself, or something may bring it.

Even things can have a certain notoriety for something.

i'm not sure with the use of the word "to cover"...

The verb to cover has three basic meanings and different collocations for each of them.

Meaning 1.
put smth over smth to hide or protect it

Thus, smth can be covered up, completely or loosely.

One may try to cover smth with smth or use smth to cover.

Meaning 2....

The verb ''to suggest'' and its usage .

Suggest in the meaning ‘propose or state smth indirectly’ can be used with such adverbs as tentatively, respectfully, tactfully or helpfully.

e.g. She tentatively suggested that she might be happier working somewhere else.

It is often used in the following phrases:
seem reasonable to suggest
be wrong to suggest
be tempting to suggest
dare to

As far as prepositions are concerned, it can be used with:
as: She suggested John as chairman.
for: Who do you suggest for the job?
to: He suggested to the committee that they (should) delay making a decision.

GRAMMAR TIP:

Never use the infinitive after this verb, only the gerund or the subjunctive.

You may be, feel, seem or become mean.

You may be really or very mean, which is bad.

If you are a bit, pretty, rather or slightly mean, that’s a bit better, but still bad.

We are usually mean to people, but with things like money.
