This year we are starting  a new theme.  It will be dedicated to the discussion of the movies we watch ... for pleasure or for practice. You are expected to register and review the movies - at least once in a fortnight.

The movie we start with is Shakespeare in Love.

Below you will see the links you might need to work with the movie:
The Wikipedia provides a deep insight into the movie, covering its historical accuracy,  synopsis, cast, reference to Shakespeare’s works, controversy and trivia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakespeare_in_love

The Internet Movie Database follows the suit, giving a slightly different view of the movie.

Recently I've watched Shakespeare in Love. To tell the truth I liked the previous movie more, than this one. But this film has topical problems too. For example, the theme of relationships of people of different classes, people's attitude to it. Here the topic of a woman's role in theatre is touched also.

Neither Finding Neverland nor Shakespeare in Love is real - they are historical reconstructions based on fact and fiction. Make a check on the facts of the latter movie and you will see the facts do not fit, though the scriptwriters' fantasies are impressive ...

I saw the film "Shakespeare In Love". i can't say that this film impressed me. the plot is ordinary: it's a story of love, author and his creation and so on. Moreover, i don't like Gwyneth Paltrow and the way she plays the part....

the film deeply impressed me,because there were shown so srong love feelings, excitings, passions. Now,I beleive, why Queen Elisabeth agreed with Viola Desseps that the real love can be performed on the stage.
It is one of the best films I've ever watch.nevertheless, I was very upset, that the playwright W.Shakespear and lady Viola couldn't be together. That time their relationships were not possible. The screenplay was very well organized that the watchers could follow the parallel action of real life and what is played on tha stage.i
i liked this film so much, that i' ve watchd the film sveral times!!!

I fully agree with you! this film shows us different problems of the society of that time

The film "Shakespeare in Love" impressed me immensely. This romantic melodrama is sad as well as funny. But it makes us cry and think over the reality of our life and customs of the lives of the people of the 16th century. It shows us that people depended on the power of monarchs and loving people couldn't be together if they were not of one status, which is sad.

Shakespeare in Love.
The film deeply impressed me, because it showed such strong feelings as love, joy, passion. Now, I see, why Queen Elizabeth agreed with Viola De Lesseps that t real love can be performed on the stage.
It is one of the best films I've ever watched. Nevertheless, I was very upset, that the playwright W. Shakespeare and lady Viola couldn't be together r. At that time their relationships were not possible. The screenplay was very well organized that the viewers could draw the parallels between real life and performance on the stage.
I liked this film so much, that I’ve watched the film several times!!!

What do you mean by a woman's role? I don't think Viola had any role in the history of the theater. I think the film shows that women are more organic or natural playing themselves.

I mean her other parts. But I can't say that she was a good variant for the role of Viola. Her acting didn't leave me impressed and excited. :/

We cannot speak of people as VARIANTs, they are choices - good or bad - sounds less offensive

I want to tell you about a very interesting and  fascinating film - "A Cinderella Story". This film is about a girl, who lives with her step-mother and her 2 stupid daughters. The girl,Sam by name, was pretty unlike her stepsisters and one day she fell in love with a well-known boy in her high school,a football captain - Ostin.
This film impressed me very much!I like such romantic stories as this one.I remember one phrase from this film:"Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game".I fully agree with this quotation.I think just that very quotation helped Sam to find herself. The film teaches us to be honest first of all with youself! You should have faith in yourself and in this case you'll be a success!!!
The film made me happy. The plot was rather good.It was neither short nor long.
You screen out how to start events and, I think the most important thing for everybody, is that the film isn't boring!
I've watched the film several times!and I advise everybody to see it!

You choose two films out of the list below: one for viewing and detailed presentation, the other - for reviewing and making a handout like the one on Shakespeare in Love

The Phantom of the Opera is a great movie, a hard work of talented cast together with the director. Actors play sincerely and put their heart and soul into their acting. In my opinion, this film is worth seeing!

I've seen "Shakespeare in Love" and can say that it's a charming film, where we can not only laugh but cry a little bit. The film is made so naturally that you really feel yourselfa part of the Golden Age, the Age of Shakespeare. Every detail is carefully thought out: scenery, costumes and music. And we can only hope we'll be able to see such great films like this in future.
